Meta's A.I. data center in Richland Parish will be powered by Entergy Louisiana
Entergy Louisiana has announced a transformative partnership with Meta to construct Meta’s largest data center in Richland Parish, part of a 10-billion-dollar investment. Entergy Louisiana CEO Philip May says the 4-million-square-foot facility will anchor significant infrastructure development and economic revitalization in Northeast Louisiana. This project is really a result of a partnership with Governor Landry and the Louisiana Economic Development focusing on how we bring a major transformational project to that part of the state.

May says Entergy plans to build three advanced generation units, substations, and nearly 100 miles of transmission lines to support the project, which will create thousands of construction jobs and 44 permanent positions. Specifically for those community 500 operational jobs, 5,000 construction jobs, and of course LED has estimated another 1,000 jobs will be created because of the jobs coming to the area.
Meta’s data center will be located on the 1,400-acre Franklin Farm mega site, strategically chosen for its infrastructure and transportation access. May emphasized Entergy’s investment offsets costs for existing customers by over 300 million dollars, while Meta contributes to community support programs. I want to assure you the Public Service commission is going to look closely at this and in face Foster Campbell, as he wiles to say, will be grading our homework and make sure that our customers are protected while also producing outstanding economic benefits for that region.
