Generative A.I. and ChatGPT Meet Medicine

Welcome to the NextMed Health newsletter in which we share selected top stories impacting the future of health and medicine, and selected talks from the inaugural NextMed Health held this past March.

ChatGPT continues to take the world (and medicine) by storm, with a growing array of capabilities across healthcare. At NextMed Health, Alfred Whitehead, VP of Applied Sciences at Klick Health gave a stellar talk unpacking what ChatGPT is, how it works, its potential and limitations as a tool for health and biomedicine, and current and evolving future applications.

A few recent Generative AI evolutions worth trying include:

  • AutoGPT: the new disruptive kid on the block- it can apply ChatGPT's reasoning to broader, more intricate issues requiring planning & multiple steps. Give it a try here.
  • DocsGPT: a ChatGPT collaborative for clinicians and staff, to enable charting, patient communications, to letters of recommendation for medical students.
  • ChatPDF: enables you to upload, summarize, analyze and query any PDF.

I envision a future of 'Generative Health' in which individual's health experience (and personal health coach, and clinical interface) can be highly tuned and adaptive to age, culture, language, personality, incentives and more. What are your predictions?
