Gemini Turns Pixel Watch Into A True Smart Assistant
Google is expanding its plans for the Pixel Watch by adding its advanced Gemini assistant. With this update, the watch will do more than just connect to your phone. It will work as a smart assistant on its own, so you can use it to get help and information without needing your phone nearby.
Google revealed Gemini, its new voice assistant, at the latest developer conference. Gemini is different from the current Google Assistant because it is smarter and better at understanding the context of what you say. This means users will soon be able to do a lot more right from their wrist, like scheduling meetings, sending messages, or managing reminders, all without having to take out their phone.
“As Gemini, the Pixel Watch becomes a more independent tool, not just a remote control for your phone,” Google explained in a press release, as reported by Android Police.
One of the biggest improvements Gemini brings is that the Pixel Watch can operate more independently. Because it features built-in smart technology, users can quickly obtain answers and complete tasks while on the go. This will be very helpful when working out, traveling, or during busy workdays when you need information fast.
Additional Features
Along with the watch update, Google is also launching “Gemini Live” for phones. This new feature puts the AI assistant into important apps like Google Keep and Google Maps.
With Gemini Live, users can speak to write notes, get directions, and do tasks using only their voice – no need to tap or swipe.
The Pixel Watch update with Gemini should come out later this year. Google hasn’t said the exact date yet, but it will be part of a bigger plan to add Gemini to many Google products.
