Kwon made these remarks during the launch of OpenAI Academy in collaboration with IndiaAI Mission.
India's Position in AI Development
In an interview with PTI, Kwon highlighted that India, with its significant number of ChatGPT users, holds a crucial spot for OpenAI in terms of engagement. According to Kwon, India has shown remarkable growth in terms of ChatGPT usage, with a three-fold increase year-over-year. Users in India have demonstrated a high level of creativity, particularly in utilizing tools like the image generator, which has gained immense popularity.

The launch of OpenAI Academy India, in partnership with IndiaAI Mission under the IT Ministry, marks a milestone as the first international expansion of the ChatGPT-maker's education platform.
