Google adds Gemini to its Education suite - BusinessGhana
Google recently unveiled a range of new Gemini-related products at its Google I/O developer conference. One notable addition is an AI boost to its Education suite, with the launch of a Gemini add-on for educational institutions within Google Workspace.
Within the Education suite, Google offers two main plans - Gemini Education and Gemini Education Premium. The base plan, available in English for educators and students over 18, allows users to leverage Gemini in Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, and chat with the AI. On the other hand, Gemini Education Premium includes all features of the base plan along with AI-powered note-taking and summaries in Meet, as well as data loss prevention. The base plan is priced at $24 per month or $192 per year per user, while the premium plan costs $36 per month or $288 per year per user. However, students over 18 at educational institutions can access Gemini for free without subscribing to any of these plans.

With these new additions, Google is aiming to revolutionize the education sector by offering advanced AI capabilities tailored for both educators and students.
