Requirements for Using Gemini in Google Messages
Google has updated its documentation to specify four key requirements for using Gemini in Google Messages:
- At least 6GB of RAM
- The latest version of the app
- A Google account
- Rich Communication Services (RCS) messaging enabled
Initially restricted to select devices such as the Google Pixel 6, 7, 8, and Samsung's Galaxy S22 series, Gemini is now accessible on a broader range of Android phones.
Features of Gemini AI
Google's conversational AI offers various capabilities, including drafting messages and answering questions on different topics. Users can now engage with Gemini on a wider selection of Android phones.
Expanding Global Availability
Gemini is currently available in Messages in over 165 countries, with support for English and French in Canada. Google aims to enhance Gemini's language support and expand its global availability in the future. In addition to the expansion, Google has introduced the standalone Gemini app and Gemini Advanced in India, supporting multiple languages.
