Ray-Ban Meta users in Europe can now interact with Meta AI
Meta has announced the launch of support for Meta AI features on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses in Europe. This update is now available in countries such as France, Italy, Ireland, and Spain, offering support for new languages including French, Italian, and Spanish.
Similar to the experience in the US and Canada, European users will have the ability to interact with the digital assistant for general queries. However, the update does not currently include features that enable Meta AI to provide answers based on the user's surroundings, a functionality that is currently limited to the US, Canada, and Australia. Meta has indicated plans to expand this capability in the future.
Despite these limitations, the new Ray-Ban Meta glasses have quickly gained popularity. Within a short span of a few months, the new model has outsold the original Ray-Ban Stories, which were available for two years.
The smart glasses market is poised for further growth in the upcoming year. Samsung is also set to contribute to this expansion with the impending launch of its first XR device.
