Furious Trump says 'go after Meta and Google' amid assassination...
Former President Donald Trump has criticized Google and Meta for allegedly censoring searches related to the assassination attempt he survived at his Pennsylvania rally.
Allegations Against Meta and Google
In a social media post, Trump urged his supporters to take action against the two tech giants, accusing them of censorship. He mentioned that Facebook, owned by Meta, admitted to wrongly censoring the "attempted assassination photo" of Trump and claimed that Google made it difficult to find any information about the incident.
Trump expressed his frustration over the perceived censorship by stating, "Both are facing BIG BACKLASH OVER CENSORSHIP CLAIMS. Here we go again, another attempt at RIGGING THE ELECTION!!! GO AFTER META AND GOOGLE. LET THEM KNOW WE ARE ALL WISE TO THEM, WILL BE MUCH TOUGHER THIS TIME. MAGA2024!"
Responses from Meta and Google
Meta's AI software reportedly labeled the assassination attempt as "fictional" and Facebook banned a photo of Trump post-attack. Similarly, Google's search bar did not provide relevant results about the incident.

Both companies denied any bias and attributed the errors to innocent mistakes, as reported by the New York Post. Meta apologized for the misinformation surrounding the incident and promised to rectify the inaccuracies in their responses.

Google clarified that there was no manual intervention in the autocomplete predictions related to political violence. They assured that improvements were being made to provide more accurate and up-to-date information to users.
Despite the controversies, both Meta and Google emphasized their commitment to providing users with reliable information and ensuring transparency in their search results.
