Oliver Jay, managing director of international strategy at OpenAI, discussed the current landscape of the company at CNBC's CONVERGE LIVE event. He highlighted that unlike many other companies, OpenAI does not face challenges related to market demand.

During a two-day live event in Singapore, Jay also mentioned the significant increase in ChatGPT usage. He highlighted that Singapore has the highest per-capita usage of ChatGPT globally. Last October, OpenAI revealed its plans to establish an office in Singapore, underscoring the company's commitment to the region.
Moreover, OpenAI's head of international strategy noted a surge in market demand across various industry segments for artificial intelligence solutions. He described the current scenario as a rollercoaster ride, with OpenAI striving to meet the increasing demand.

Jay expressed that artificial intelligence offers unique opportunities for companies globally, particularly in Asia. He suggested that Asian companies have the potential to take a leadership role on the global stage with the adoption of technology. This shift represents a departure from the traditional pattern where technology innovations originated in Silicon Valley or Europe.

Contrary to previous platform shifts, Jay highlighted that AI adoption is occurring simultaneously across various sectors, including consumers, businesses, educators, and developers. He cited the example of ChatGPT, which has surpassed 400 million weekly active users, reflecting the growing acceptance of AI technologies.
According to Jay, artificial intelligence is no longer a mysterious concept but a practical reality that is reshaping businesses. He emphasized that companies are already experiencing transformative effects due to AI integration.
