In an extraordinary turn of events, ChatGPT, OpenAI's conversational AI, has been credited with saving the lives of a pregnant woman and her unborn child. Natallia Tarrien, a photographer from Charlotte, North Carolina, shared her life-saving experience on Instagram, which has since gone viral.
Eight months pregnant at the time, Natallia casually asked ChatGPT a seemingly harmless question: "Why does my jaw feel tight?" To her surprise, the AI suggested she check her blood pressure. Upon doing so, she discovered it was alarmingly high and continued to rise. Despite not feeling unwell, ChatGPT's urgent advice - "Call an ambulance. Now." - prompted her to seek immediate medical attention.

By the time she reached the hospital, her blood pressure had soared to a dangerous 200/146. Doctors performed an emergency delivery, and both mother and baby are now safe. The attending doctor made a chilling remark: "If you had gone to sleep that night, you wouldn’t have woken up."

This story highlights the potential of AI to assist in critical situations, offering timely advice that can make a life-or-death difference. While AI tools like ChatGPT are not substitutes for professional medical care, this incident underscores their growing role in augmenting human decision-making.
