You can now call and speak with ChatGPT
MenuChatGPT, the generative AI chatbot, has expanded its capabilities to include a phone number and voice feature. Users now have the option to call or message ChatGPT at 1-800-CHAT-GPT using either a U.S. phone number or WhatsApp. What sets this service apart from the online experience is that callers are not required to create an account to engage with the chatbot. This recent announcement by OpenAI marks the launch of an experimental 800 number, with the goal of broadening access to the chatbot.
Users can engage with ChatGPT for a maximum of 15 minutes each month at no cost, and there are daily limits in place for WhatsApp messages. According to OpenAI, the functionality of 1-800-ChatGPT is optimized for quieter environments, as background noise could potentially be misconstrued as user prompts.
Privacy and Data Storage
For those mindful of their privacy, OpenAI has assured that calls and transcripts of conversations may be retained "for a restricted period" to ensure safety and prevent abuse.

Launched in November 2022, ChatGPT has swiftly risen to prominence as one of the most sought-after AI tools available. Its versatility allows for a wide range of applications, catering to personal, business, and entertainment needs.
