Abu Dhabi announces 3 new direct flights to major Indian cities
Travellers from Abu Dhabi can now enjoy direct flights to three Indian cities - Mangaluru (IXE), Tiruchirappalli (TRZ), and Coimbatore (CJB) with the announcement made by the UAE Capital's airport authority. Abu Dhabi Airports revealed that the new direct flights from Zayed International Airport (AUH) will be operated by budget carrier Indigo, which currently operates 13 routes from Abu Dhabi to various Indian cities.
Nathalie Jongma, the vice-president of aviation development, expressed that this expansion is not just about adding flights but also about creating convenient links for families and friends, establishing new business opportunities, and strengthening the partnership with Indigo.

The announcement follows a significant 33.5% increase in passenger numbers at Abu Dhabi Airports during the first half of the year. Sanjeev Ramdas, the executive vice-president for airport operations and customer services at Indigo, emphasized the strategic partnership with Zayed International Airport as a means to enhance global connectivity and provide customers with more travel options.
The UAE's ongoing Cepa initiative aims to facilitate trade by removing barriers and enhancing market access for services, including the reduction or elimination of customs duties.
Today, the non-oil sector accounts for approximately 74% of the UAE's total GDP, signaling a diversifying economy. Various business updates such as changes in the gold market, recommendations for dealing with SEBI registered mutual funds, and advancements in AI practices are also noteworthy in the country's economic landscape.

Furthermore, the UAE has signed Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreements (Cepa) with several major trading partners, including India, Israel, Chile, Colombia, Turkey, Indonesia, Georgia, and Cambodia, to boost international trade relations.
