Microsoft Copilot: GPT-4 Turbo, Code Interpreter and other AI Innovations
In recent years, Microsoft has been dedicated to integrating artificial intelligence (AI) across its range of products such as Microsoft 365, Microsoft Edge, and Windows. As part of its vision for an AI-driven future, the tech giant has introduced a multitude of AI-powered products and services, including Bing Chat, Microsoft's proprietary AI chatbot.
All these AI offerings have now been consolidated under the umbrella of Microsoft Copilot. However, Microsoft's exploration of AI innovations is ongoing, with plans to introduce a host of new AI features in the near future, including GPT-4 Turbo, Code Interpreter, and the latest DALL-E 3 model.
GPT-4 Turbo
Microsoft recently announced its integration of OpenAI's latest model, GPT-4 Turbo, into its ecosystem. This advancement allows users to tackle even more complex tasks, surpassing previous limitations. While currently in the testing phase with a select group of users, GPT-4 Turbo is poised for widespread integration into Microsoft Copilot in the upcoming weeks.
Dall-E 3 model
The enhanced DALL-E 3 model empowers users to generate high-quality images that closely align with their prompts. These new capabilities are already accessible to users, whether by requesting Copilot to create an image or by visiting bing.com/create.
Inline Compose
With Inline Compose, users of Microsoft Edge can easily select text on a webpage and ask Copilot to modify it. This AI-driven tool will then rewrite the selected text. Microsoft has confirmed that this feature will soon be available to all Edge users.
Multi-Modal with Search Grounding
By combining the capabilities of GPT-4 with Bing image search and web search data, Microsoft is enhancing image comprehension for user queries. This integrated feature is set to launch in the near future.
Code Interpreter
Similar to ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot will introduce a Code Interpreter, enabling users to perform intricate tasks such as precise calculations, coding, data analysis, visualization, and mathematics. While currently undergoing testing with a limited user group, a broader rollout is anticipated soon.
Deep Search
Microsoft will also introduce Deep Search to Copilot, powered by GPT-4. This feature will provide optimized search results for complex topics, offering users a more profound exploration of the web. It is important to note that Deep Search complements Bing Search and does not serve as a replacement.
Microsoft emphasizes, "Deep Search leverages various signals to evaluate the relevance and quality of each result, considering factors like topic alignment, level of detail, source credibility, freshness, popularity, and more."
