10 Exciting Features of Gemini Chatbot on Gmail Android App

Gemini chatbot is now available on Gmail for Android users - India News

Google has been dedicatedly working to improve and upgrade its AI chatbot, Gemini. The company is going all in to integrate Gemini into all its services. First, Gemini featured on Gmail web in June, and now it is coming to the mobile interface as well.

Google has recently announced that its chatbot, Gemini, is now available on the Gmail Android app. The feature, called Gmail Q&A, is now rolling out for all Android users, but it comes with a cost. The feature is only available to those who have subscribed to the advanced version of Gemini. Google has also stated that the feature is also coming soon for iOS users.

Gmail Q&A Feature

With Gmail Q&A, according to Google, users can access Google Gemini in the Gmail app as a personal assistant that can read your entire email inbox. Google says you can ask Gemini to summarise emails by stating things like, “Catch me up on the emails about quarterly planning.” Additionally, you can utilise the feature to retrieve precise information by asking Gemini targeted questions, like "What was the exact budget for the company's most recent marketing campaign?"

Subscribers can access the feature by clicking on the black star icon, now a recognisable symbol for Gemini within Google's range of products, located in the upper-right corner of the app. Currently, the Gmail Q&A feature can only draw information from your emails, but Google plans to expand its capabilities to also include access to files stored in your Google Drive account in the future. But again, only for subscribers.

Google doesn't plan to offer Gmail Q&A to free Gmail users in the near future, instead using premium features like Gmail Q&A as a selling point to justify the monthly subscription fees for Gemini and entice users to upgrade to a paid plan.

Imagen 3 - New AI Image Generation Tool

In another development, Google has finally introduced a new and improved AI image generation tool, Imagen 3. After facing major backlash for being biased and racially incorrect, the company halted the services in February. But now, it is back with the tool. According to Google, "Imagen 3 sets a new standard for image quality, generating images with just a few words."

In a blog post, it stated, "We’ve worked to make technical improvements to the product, as well as improved evaluation sets, red-teaming exercises and clear product principles." It also added that there would be imperfections in the creative area of Imagen 3. But Google is ready to hear from the users and get their feedback to improve the feature.
