WhatsApp Photo Replies Are Now Supported by Meta AI - Resident ...
Version 2.24.14.20 of the messaging app WhatsApp, owned by Meta, is set to be released through the Google Play Beta Programme. This upcoming update will introduce a new feature that allows Meta AI to interact with photos shared by users. Although the 'Reply and Edit Photos' tool has been mentioned in recent announcements, it is not yet accessible to beta testers.
The latest version of the app builds upon a previous release that enabled users to utilize Meta AI for generating images of themselves. With this new functionality, Meta AI will now be capable of responding to and editing photos shared by users.
Chat Button for Manual Photo Sharing
A new chat button will be introduced to facilitate manual photo sharing with Meta AI. Users will have the ability to ask questions about their photos, seek object recognition, or obtain context once the photos have been shared with Meta AI.
Additionally, users will be granted the option to edit these shared images directly within the chat. By sharing a prompt, users can make edits to their photos seamlessly within the chat interface. This feature is expected to be available in a future stable release of the app.
