ChatGPT, OpenAI experiencing 'issues' with spike in outages | DC ...
WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — OpenAI, the artificial intelligence company that owns and operates ChatGPT, experienced outages on Tuesday into Wednesday. Between the hours of 5 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Downdetector received dramatic spikes in people reporting the application was down. The most common error surrounded the ChatGPT application with users reporting that image generation, chats, etc. were not working.
OpenAI reported elevated error rates on Tuesday. Their website reading “We’re currently experiencing issues.” In an update on Wednesday, their website now says nearly all ChatGPT components are working. According to their website, the issue has been ongoing for around one day and is affecting APIs and ChatGPT. Functions impacted include search, file uploads, data analysis, research, conversations, and more.

OpenAI reported that they are actively working to resolve the issue and restore full functionality to ChatGPT as soon as possible.
