Uzabase Launches Project to Promote Use of ChatGPT and LLM in Business Intelligence
Uzabase, Inc. has announced the launch of its "ChatGPT/LLM Promotion Project," as part of its Play Engineering project which started in 2022. The initiative is aimed at enhancing the skills of Uzabase members, promoting the use of ChatGPT and Large Language Model (LLM) in the business intelligence domain, and leading the application of cutting-edge business intelligence in Japanese and English.
Uzabase believes that AI technologies such as ChatGPT and LLM have created an urgent need for business professionals to improve their technology literacy and create new value through enhanced work efficiency. As a result, social business media service NewsPicks, operated by the Uzabase Group, has added an "AI tab" to its interface to collect news related to AI and provide users with timely information on the impact of AI on businesses and its implications.
ChatGPT/LLM Promotion Project Details
- Recommend the use of ChatGPT and LLM in company-wide Objectives to improve business efficiency.
- Introduce benefits of up to 10,000 yen/month per person for expenses associated with the paid version of ChatGPT, API/Plug-in pay-as-you-go, GitHub Copilot, and other related services.
- Introduce a budget to support the project and a system allowing for the placement of orders for AI projects such as ChatGPT and LLM to Uzabase engineers through the Group-wide side job program DIVE.
- Recruit companies, universities, and research institutions for joint research with the technology lab UB Research and develop specialized LLM for business intelligence.
Uzabase aims to provide its members with opportunities to maximize their engineering potential and create new value through enhanced work efficiency in the future. The project content will be periodically revised and popularized externally in order to lead the use of technology in the business intelligence domain through practical application. Note that data and content provided by data and content partners will not be used by ChatGPT/LLM without the consent of the said partners.
About the Play Engineering Project
The Play Engineering Project was launched in April 2022, with the aim of creating a must-have business intelligence service by combining the power of people and technology. One of Uzabase's main objectives is "Becoming a technology company (Establish a new, technology-driven business model for the company)." The company wants to change the way business professionals work by freeing them from labor-intensive tasks and allowing them to do more creative work instead.
Uzabase believes that as the use of ChatGPT and LLM continues to spread, it is crucial for both engineers and non-engineers to work together, transcending teams and job functions, to explore and promote its beneficial use in every setting. The company boasts one of the world's largest volumes of data in business intelligence, thanks to its numerous data and content partners. It understands its partners' strong concerns regarding the use of ChatGPT and LLM while also acknowledging that any delay in utilizing such innovative technologies could be fatal.
Uzabase believes that it can lead the way in utilizing such technologies in the business intelligence domain and gain the understanding of its data and content partners. The company also invites companies, universities, and research institutions to join in research, hoping that together they can create new forms of leveraging business intelligence and circulate them worldwide, thus contributing to society at large.
