Meta AI is in Messengeroh! He's still struggling with Czech – LSA ...
It's only been a few days since we featured Meta AI in our magazine. Meta is getting ready to launch its Meta AI in the European Union after years of waiting. Although not yet fully operational, Messenger is already starting to integrate this new feature. However, do not expect significant miracles just yet. Due to EU regulations and perhaps Meta's approach, Meta AI is still lacking in functionality.
Early Signs of Meta AI in Messenger
In our editorial team, we noticed Meta AI appearing in Messenger after updating the app. The feature is visible in the search bar at the top of the app. Users can either give direct commands or search for the Meta AI thread to communicate with the bot in a chat-style format similar to interacting with other users. However, there is a significant limitation – Meta AI currently does not understand Czech, or at least claims not to. When prompted in Czech, it acknowledges the lack of support but mentions ongoing efforts to add the language.

The interesting part is that Meta AI only displays the message "Czech is one of the languages that I do not yet know ..." after responding in Czech, showing each letter in real-time. Additionally, while the AI cannot officially engage in Czech, it can understand Czech inputs. The timeline for full Czech language support remains uncertain, so for now, it's advisable to converse with Meta AI in English or another widely supported language.
