Unlocking Google Gemini: Direct Access on iPhone Lock Screen

iPhone users can now access Google Gemini app from their lock screen

Google Gemini users will now be able to access the AI chatbot directly from the lock screen of their iPhone, as reported by 9to5Google. The Gemini app has introduced six widgets that users can add to their lock screens, enabling them to type prompts directly, engage in conversations, set reminders using voice commands, use the camera, and share images or files seamlessly.

This latest update eliminates the need for users to unlock their iPhones before taking pictures with the camera and uploading them to Gemini for analysis or sharing files. The rollout of this update coincides with the revelation by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman that a fully revamped Siri experience is still years away for Apple.
