Now you can chat with Grok AI in replies: Following trend of AI Assistants
Get the latest news from your cityX (formerly Twitter) has found a new way to make its AI chatbot, Grok, more accessible. Now, you can simply mention “@Grok” in a reply and ask a question, and the chatbot will respond with an explanation of the post. Previously, Grok was only available through a sidebar button and an option under posts, where it could explain both text and images. But now, this new feature makes it even easier to interact with the AI.
Grok follows Perplexity’s lead
For a while now, Perplexity AI has been doing something similar. Their bot automatically replies to users who ask questions about posts on X. Grok’s new reply feature brings X’s own AI assistant into the mix, making it more convenient for users to get quick insights.
AI assistants are everywhere
Every major tech company is working on making AI more accessible. Meta, for example, has integrated 'Meta AI' into Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook, and Messenger. It even launched a website and is rumored to be developing a standalone app for its chatbot. Meanwhile, xAI, the Elon Musk-owned company behind Grok, has been rolling out new ways to use its AI. Now, Grok is available not just on X but also as a separate app on iOS and Android, along with a dedicated website. Plus, xAI recently introduced a 'SuperGrok' plan, offering unlimited image generation and early access to new features. With AI assistants becoming more integrated into our daily platforms, it looks like chatting with AI will soon be as common as tweeting or texting.
