Meta introduces branding definition in Ads Manager for fonts, colors, and logos

Meta has announced the launch of a new branding feature in Ads Manager, allowing users to define their brand logo, colors, and fonts specifically for their advertising campaigns. This feature can be accessed within the Identity section of ad creation or through the ad creative setup wizard.

When utilizing AI-generated enhancements or Advantage+ Creative, Meta now requires a defined branding starting point. Without this definition, the platform may draw branding elements from previous URLs and ads, potentially resulting in inconsistent outcomes. By specifying their branding details, advertisers can ensure that overlays and AI-generated creatives maintain their selected brand colors and fonts.

To leverage this feature, users need to upload their brand logo, choose up to three brand colors for text elements, and select a preferred font. It is important to activate the "Apply this branding" option to see these changes reflected in the Branding section.

While the introduction of the branding setting is a step forward, it does come with some limitations. Users currently have minimal control over how their branding is applied, such as the size or positioning of the logo. Additionally, Meta's AI often defaults to one of the selected colors for text backgrounds, which may not always align with user preferences. Despite these challenges, this feature represents progress compared to previous branding options and helps to mitigate brand risk. Future updates are expected to further refine the application of these branding settings.
