This innovative platform, known as AI Studio, is now available in the US and serves as a space for individuals to create, share, and explore various AI characters for chatting purposes, without requiring any technical expertise. Powered by Llama 3.1, AI Studio enables users to both create and discover AI avatars, allowing creators to develop an AI representation of themselves to connect with a broader audience.
Features of AI Studio
AI Studio offers a range of exciting features for users. Through the Meta AI Studio website or the Instagram app, anyone can design AI characters using a diverse selection of prompt templates or by starting from scratch. These AI avatars can assist with tasks such as providing cooking tutorials, generating memes, and helping with Instagram captions, among other functionalities.
Your personalized AI avatar can be kept private or shared with followers, friends, or even made available for public interaction on platforms like Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp, and the web. To initiate the creation of your AI avatar, simply begin a new message on Instagram, tap on "Create an AI chat," and proceed to customize your AI character's name, personality, avatar, and tagline.
Customization and Control for Creators
Meta has introduced a professional dashboard within the Instagram app, enabling creators to exercise control over their AI avatars. Creators can tailor their AI based on their Instagram content, specify topics to avoid, and decide on the links to be shared. This dashboard allows creators to manage auto-replies, choose the recipients of the AI responses, and ensure transparency for fans by clearly labeling responses from creator AIs.
Notable personalities such as Chris Ashley, Violet Benson, Don Allen, and Kane Kallaway have already created their own AI characters, which can be accessed by tapping the Message button with the golden star icon on their Instagram profiles (available on mobile only).
