The market for meme coins is currently buzzing with excitement, all thanks to the AI-assisted Turbo TURBO/USD meme coin that gained a market capitalization of over $30 million during its first week of launch. The meme coin was created by Rhett Mankind, a digital artist who used ChatGPT and a budget of $69 to develop a meme coin that outperformed its rivals and secured a spot among CoinGecko's Top 300.
ChatGPT, as Mankind explained in a Youtube video, played a vital role in selecting the name, branding, and smart contract code of the meme coin. The chatbot conducted a Twitter poll that saw TurboToad emerge as the preferred name. Afterward, Midjourney was enlisted to design the mascot based on the name.
ChatGPT was also instrumental in developing the project's tokenomics and whitepaper, according to a tweet by Mankind. The whitepaper highlighted the project's unique selling points, such as zero taxes, a renounced contract, no presale, and an anti-whale provision. However, using ChatGPT to develop a smart contract wasn't without its challenges, as Mankind admitted. In the end, though, the AI tool produced a code that was tested and verified by a handful of followers before implementation.
Although the project's DEX launch initially faced bottlenecks due to liquidity pool cornering by bots, ChatGPT helped to move the project forward through crowdfunding, social media campaigns, and airdrops, as stated by Mankind. Turbo eventually debuted with a token supply of 69 billion and publicly allocated 60 billion, while Mankind retained the remainder.
Mankind's creation has attracted attention from multiple crypto influencers, leading to increasing interest. Turbo boasts over 10,000 Twitter followers and an active Discord community, and its success has seen crypto exchanges like MEXC and LBank list the token. Turbo traded at $0.000198 at the time of writing, with a market cap of around $34.6 million.
