Google Brings Gemini AI Image Generator To Docs: How it Works ...
Google recently introduced a new feature to Google Docs, known as the image generator powered by Gemini AI. This cutting-edge tool allows users to enhance their documents with visually appealing images. According to Google's announcement, users can now create photorealistic images of various subjects, such as people and landscapes, with higher detail than ever before.
The image generator utilizes Google's Imagen 3 image generation algorithm, offering users the ability to customize image size, aspect ratio, and even apply different photography styles like watercolor effects. This feature enables users to create unique cover images for their documents, adding a personalized touch to resumes, invitations, or client presentations.
How to Use the Image Generator:
To access the image generator in Google Docs, follow these simple steps:
- Open Google Docs and go to the 'Insert Menu' option located on the top left corner.
- Click on 'Help Me - Create an Image Option'.
- A new panel will appear on the sidebar, where you can enter a prompt for the image generation process.
- The sidebar tool offers different aspect ratios and layout options through a dropdown menu.
- Select the 'Create' button to view suggested images based on your prompt.
- Users can request additional image options and choose which ones to insert into their document.
- Once added, users can further modify the image by replacing it, repositioning it, adding alt text, or deleting it as needed.

Similar to the cover image customization tools, the new image generation feature in Google Docs is exclusive to Google Workspace subscribers. This feature is accessible to Workspace users with subscriptions to specific plans such as Gemini Business, Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Education, Gemini Education Premium, and Google One AI Premium.
Availability and Feedback:

Google plans to roll out the AI-powered image generator to Rapid Release domains initially, with an estimated timeline of up to 15 days for full implementation. Scheduled Release domains will receive the feature starting from December 16. Additionally, Google encourages users to provide feedback and suggestions for image accuracy to enhance the functionality of the image generator tool.
