Xiaomi's new AI glasses are already giving Ray-Ban Metas a Serious Beatdown
Xiaomi has recently unveiled its latest smart glasses that boast impressive features and functionalities, surpassing even the renowned Ray-Ban Meta in several aspects. At the Human x Car x Home event in Beijing, Xiaomi introduced these AI-powered smart glasses alongside a foldable phone, next-gen smartwatch, and a range of smart home devices.
The competition in the smart glasses market is intensifying with Xiaomi entering the arena, putting additional pressure on Meta as more players join the AI eyewear game. Xiaomi's new AI glasses outshine Ray-Ban Meta with their in-house Super XiaoAI assistant, enabling real-time translation, seamless payment through a built-in camera compatible with Alipay, as reported by Road to VR.
Enhanced Functionality
Xiaomi's AI Glasses come equipped with a 12MP ultra-wide camera for hands-free photography and video recording through voice commands. These smart glasses can identify objects in real-time, provide translation services, and go beyond basic photography capabilities.

Battery Life and Design
One of the standout features of Xiaomi's smart glasses is their impressive battery life, offering up to 8.6 hours of usage on a 263mAh battery with USB-C charging. In comparison, Ray-Ban's Meta glasses provide only 4 hours on a smaller battery capacity.
Weighing just 40 grams, these smart glasses also function as open-ear headphones, delivering stereo sound quality and featuring five built-in microphones. The glasses are powered by a Qualcomm AR1 chip and Hengxuan 2700 co-processor for efficient performance.

Designed with Asian facial features in mind, the glasses have temple arms that pivot 12° outward and tilt 5° forward for a comfortable fit. The glasses come with an IP54 rating, making them resistant to sweat and splashes. Additionally, users can opt for electrochromic lenses that adjust to light conditions instantly.
Pricing and Availability
Xiaomi's standard AI Glasses are priced at CNY 1,999 (approximately $280), aligning closely with Meta's Ray-Ban offerings. The monochrome electrochromic version with auto-tinting lenses is available for CNY 2,699 ($375), while the color version costs CNY 2,999 ($420). Consumers can choose from three frame options: Classic Black, Parrot Green, and Translucent Tortoiseshell Brown.
