NR Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys, recently stated in an interview with a news channel that ChatGPT, an AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology developed by OpenAI, is an excellent addition to knowledge generation, but it cannot beat the human mind. He believes that the human mind is the most powerful imagination machine, and there is nothing that can surpass it.
Although ChatGPT has triggered a new AI race, and many people across various verticals are using the bot as it paves new paths for each industry. Nevertheless, the Infosys CEO Salil Parekh announced that the company is working on its software development tool, on an open-source Generative AI platform.
Addressing at an event held recently, chairman of Axilor Ventures, Kris Gopalakrishnan said ChatGPT democratizes access to artificial intelligence machine learning models and helps with a wide range of tasks such as reading x-rays, essay writing, poetry, summarizing information, and documents and testing code segments.
According to Murthy, the human mind, with its cognitive and imaginative abilities, is irreplaceable. Despite the potential of AI and machine learning, humans will always have an edge over machines because they can think, perceive, and create.
