State Track and Field Championships brings thousands to La Crosse
Every year, the WIAA State Track and Field Championship brings the best athletes from across Wisconsin to the city of La Crosse. It's not just a competition for these athletes, but also an opportunity to strive for a state title that represents their hard work and dedication.

Parent Brenda Polster shared her perspective, stating, "It just proves that with hard work and dedication, you can do anything you want to do." The championship serves as a platform for families to celebrate the achievements and efforts of the competing athletes.
According to the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL), over 20,000 spectators are anticipated to attend the event over the weekend. UWL Police Officer Nicole Miller reassured the public of their preparedness to manage the large crowd.

Officer Miller stated, "Because this happens every year, we kind of know what to expect. We understand the best traffic routes, how to efficiently manage the influx of people, and prioritize pedestrian safety to ensure everyone's well-being."
