OpenAI, which is backed by Microsoft Corporation, is reportedly introducing a "Beta features" page for ChatGPT Plus users. This page will allow users to try experimental new features, including web browsing, plugins, and code interpreter. These features have been available in Alpha for some time, but the Beta features page aims to provide access to more users instead of a selected few.
Since OpenAI launched chatGPT for public testing last year, the generative AI technology in the chatbot has become popular, which has even ignited a battle among big tech players. Several plugins by the Sam Altman-led company and third-party developers have surfaced considering the massive popularity of ChatGPT and the interest it has garnered over the period.
In March this year, OpenAI launched two plugins: a web browser and a code interpreter. Earlier this month, Zillow, a popular real estate website in the U.S., introduced a new ChatGPT plugin to streamline the house-hunting process for users. With the introduction of the Beta features page, the interest in ChatGPT may grow even more.
