Recent Departures at OpenAI

These departures follow other high-profile exits from OpenAI. Greg Brockman, the president and co-founder, announced a sabbatical until the year-end. John Schulman, another co-founder, left to join rival Anthropic. Ilya Sutskever, a co-founder focused on AI safety, left to start his own AI company. Jan Leike, who co-led the safety team with Sutskever, also resigned and criticized OpenAI's approach to safety.
