Stacey – Your Telegram AI Assistant (Powered by MCP, Gemini, and Google)

This n8n template builds Stacey, an AI assistant that operates within Telegram. Stacey is capable of interpreting your messages, identifying your needs using AI, and effectively directing commands to MCP-connected tools such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and a blog writer, among others.

For optimal performance, it is recommended to utilize OpenAI’s GPT-4o model. However, in this template, Google Gemini is employed as a free alternative.

Key Features:

Listens to Telegram messages (text and voice)
Transcribes audio using Whisper (optional)
Utilizes Stacey, an AI agent powered by Gemini (or GPT-4o for advanced functionality)

Before using this workflow, ensure that you have the following:

A self-hosted or cloud-based n8n instance
A Telegram Bot Token from @BotFather
Google OAuth2 credentials
Optional: OpenAI or Whisper API key for voice transcription
Optional: Tavily API key for live web search

Configuration:

Gemini (Google AI) is preconfigured in the template but can be swapped as needed. To set up, navigate to Settings → Credentials and add the following:

Telegram API: Your bot token from BotFather
Google OAuth2: [Specify details]
Gemini / Palm API: Utilized for the language model
Optional: OpenAI Whisper: For voice transcription
Optional: Tavily: For real-time internet searches

Integration with MCP:

This tool is activated via the MCP Map Server using an Execute Workflow node. The AI agent selects this tool when user requests involve tasks such as writing blog posts, emails, or product descriptions. Customize the sub-workflow to suit your needs.

In the systemMessage field of the “AI Agent” node, you can personalize Stacey’s settings. The template includes [Specify details]. Feel free to extend as required.
