Under the new program, large nonprofits will be eligible for a 50% discount on the enterprise-grade version of ChatGPT. Smaller nonprofits using ChatGPT Team will benefit from a reduced monthly rate of $20 per user, down from the standard $25 or $30.

Since the release of ChatGPT, there has been a surge in the adoption of generative AI technology across various industries. From writing to coding, ChatGPT has quickly become a popular tool for businesses and individuals looking to streamline their workflows.

OpenAI's focus on expanding its enterprise offerings reflects the company's commitment to catering to the needs of larger organizations. By making ChatGPT more accessible to nonprofits, OpenAI aims to drive innovation and collaboration within the nonprofit sector.

Partnership with the International Rescue Committee

In addition to the discount program, OpenAI has also established a partnership with the International Rescue Committee (IRC). As part of this collaboration, OpenAI has provided a grant of $250,000 to the IRC to support its efforts in assisting communities affected by humanitarian crises, such as the conflict in Ukraine.

The grant will be used to develop an education chatbot named aprendIA, which leverages OpenAI technology to provide educational support in crisis-affected areas. The IRC plans to pilot aprendIA in locations like Bangladesh and Nigeria, where access to traditional educational resources may be limited.

According to the IRC, aprendIA will enable educators to create personalized teaching content that caters to the unique needs of children in crisis situations. By leveraging chatbot technology, IRC aims to make education more accessible and adaptable to different humanitarian contexts.

To enhance the reach of aprendIA, IRC intends to make the chatbot available on various low-tech devices and popular messaging platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, supporting multi-language interactions for a global audience.
