Kering Launches KNXT: An Innovative Fashion Marketplace for NFTs and AI Personal Shopper

Kering embraces NFTs and ChatGPT with AI personal shopper

Luxury brand conglomerate Kering has launched an innovative fashion marketplace called KNXT for non-fungible tokens (NFTs). KNXT features an AI-powered personal shopper named Madeline, powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT. Madeline guides customers through a wide range of luxury goods available to purchase with cryptocurrency ETH as well as exclusive NFTs from famous brands such as Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, Gucci, and Courrèges.

The KNXT platform’s visual identity is pop-colored, and it uses a cartoonish owl dressed as a fashion model as an ambassador. Although the platform has not yet been promoted by Kering, it is expected to undergo testing. This innovative step is analyzed in great detail in our Digital Display Futures report, where we explore how artificial intelligence can impact and change online merchandising through personal shoppers such as /Madeline and AI-generated models.

WFH Lifestyle Includes Ordering Groceries Online

A study conducted by Morning Consult reveals that remote and hybrid workers are more likely to shop for groceries online than those who attend work in person. The State of Workers 2023 report discovered that remote and hybrid workers not only purchase online groceries more frequently, but they are also inclined to use apps for grocery shopping and meal-planning. The report indicates that 71% of remote workers and 66% of hybrid workers buy all or most of their groceries online compared with only 44% of in-person workers.

Demographics play a role in this trend; remote and hybrid workers are more likely to be parents and high-income individuals, which are the groups that often shop for groceries online in the first place. The report suggests that this shift is due to daily schedules and access to car travel. Our Work States Futures macrotrend report discusses how workers are adapting to new work lifestyles, and it is influencing other aspects of their lives, including their eating, food, and beverage routines.
