Join the DSAi GPT Hackathon in Sydney This Friday
Are you an AI enthusiast or expert looking for a new challenge? If so, you won't want to miss out on the DSAi GPT Hackathon taking place this Friday, May 12th, in Sydney. Hosted at UTS Startups, the three-day event will allow participants to explore ChatGPT's latest version, GPT-4, and use it to develop innovative new applications and tools.
What to Expect
As hacking ChatGPT requires intense concentration, food and drinks will be provided to participants throughout the day to keep them fueled and focused. Tables, internet, and other necessary equipment will also be available onsite.
This free event is one of many centered around AI, taking place throughout April and May. With the support of the City of Sydney, the hackathon is made possible by The Data Science & AI Association of Australia (DSAi), University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Startups, Aura Ventures, and newsletter creator No Longer a Nincompoop.
The Future of AI and Web3
Mark Monfort, co-president of DSAi, shares that the response to the hackathon has been overwhelming with over 200 people wanting to participate. He notes that artificial intelligence tools are becoming increasingly important. Questions are arising about regulation and who owns the data. This is where Monfort sees AI and Web3 intersecting. He believes blockchain technology provides a transparent and trustworthy solution.
NotCentralised, Monfort's Web3 venture studio, has also been working with clients to help them understand emerging technologies like AI and Web3 and how they can use it in their business. The winner of the hackathon will receive $1,000, and the results will be announced on Sunday.
How to Participate
Pre-registration for the event is closed, but if you are interested in participating, you can email [email protected]. So come along and join the fun, whether you're a student, working professional, or just someone who enjoys ChatGPT and wants to learn more about it.
