Google Gemini launches video generator: How to make AI clips with Veo 2
Google has introduced its new video generator feature on Gemini AI, named Veo 2. This update allows users to not only create images but also short videos with high resolution and cinematic realism using AI technology.
Creating AI videos with Veo 2
With the Veo 2 tool, users can generate eight-second videos using text prompts. These videos are delivered in 720p resolution as MP4 files in a 16:9 landscape format. Google has set a monthly limit on the number of videos that can be created, with notifications as users approach the limit.
The release of Veo 2 was announced on April 15 for Gemini Advanced users worldwide on both web and mobile platforms. Additionally, for Google One AI Premium subscribers, this feature is available in all supported languages of Gemini.

Google Labs is also offering Veo 2 through Whisk, which enables the generation of AI videos using text and image prompts. The company has implemented measures to ensure a safe experience with Veo 2 on Gemini, including watermarking each frame of the video to prevent misuse.
