Google Gemini Has 350 Million Monthly Users, Far Behind ChatGPT ...
Court documents have revealed that Google's Gemini AI platform has 350 million monthly active users, but lags behind OpenAI's ChatGPT in terms of user numbers. The data presented during a court case indicated that Google estimated Gemini to have 35 million daily active users in March 2025.
On the other hand, Google analysts suggest that ChatGPT boasts 600 million monthly active users and 160 million daily users, although these figures are estimates as OpenAI has not officially disclosed its user numbers. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has hinted at significantly higher user numbers compared to Google's internal estimates. In a TED conversation interview, Altman vaguely mentioned that the service had previously reported 500 million weekly active users and implied that the number had doubled recently, potentially reaching a billion weekly active users.
These revelations raise questions about the disparity in daily active users between Gemini and ChatGPT. Despite having over half the monthly active users of ChatGPT according to Google's estimates, Gemini falls short with less than a quarter of the daily active users, indicating lower engagement levels.

Google's Growth Strategy and Gemini Integration
Google's rapid growth in the past six months could be attributed to the integration of Gemini services into various products. Platforms such as Google Docs, Sheets, and Gmail now feature built-in Gemini services, potentially contributing to the company's expansion.
