Google Brings Gemini to India in Nine Languages

Google has brought its AI chatbot, Gemini, to India and will soon be accessible in nine languages of the nation namely Thamizh, Bengali, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, and Urdu.

The tech giant says that users can now talk, type, or even upload images using AI support on the app in any of the supported languages.

These languages can be found in Gemini Advanced, the Assistant's premium edition.

Along with enhanced file uploading and data analysis capabilities, Gemini Advanced also offers the option to communicate with Gemini through Google Messages, initially in English.

One can use Google Assistant to opt-in or download the Gemini app to access Gemini on an Android device. Then, to utilize Gemini, one can say ‘Hey Google’, corner swipe, or press the power button on some phones.

This opens up a unique overlay experience that provides on-screen contextual help and quick access to Gemini. The Gemini app will provide access to numerous voice-activated functions of Google Assistant, such as timers, callers, and reminders.
