Sberbank of Russia Launches Gigachat, a ChatGPT Rival

The key differentiation that sets GigaChat apart from its competitors is its higher capacity to converse more intelligently in the Russian language than international neural networks, which is particularly critical for a nation like Russia, where a significant segment of the population prefers conversing in Russian.
Sberbank’s adoption of AI technology is part of a larger initiative by the bank to reduce Russia’s dependence on imports. The bank expects GigaChat, thanks to recent significant technological investments, to spur innovation and revolutionize the way people work and conduct business in Russia.
