Conducting a comprehensive experiment, we pitted ChatGPT, Claude, and VisionCraft AI against each other to evaluate their impact on productivity in Computer Vision. The findings were stark and illuminating.
To ensure fairness, we eliminated internet access for all LLMs, as most AI coding IDEs and extensions like Cline, Cursor, and Windsurf currently lack internet connectivity. Even if they did, they often fail to provide optimal solutions.
Testing Object Detection Models
We challenged ChatGPT o3-mini, Claude 3.5 Sonnet, and VisionCraft AI with a series of questions focusing on the advanced object detection model, YOLOv12. Our objective was to assess how effectively they could handle requests for precise and up-to-date code snippets.
Let's start with an example from o3-mini. The response provided a rudimentary answer based on its training data, suggesting that YOLOv12 does not exist.
Next, we looked at Claude 3.5 Sonnet. While it exhibited a similar pattern, Claude was candid about its lack of knowledge on the subject, distinguishing it from other models like DeepSeek R1.
Finally, we tested VisionCraft AI, which consistently delivered accurate results for YOLOv12 without internet access, thanks to our innovative RAVEN engine. This capability extended to code generation, further solidifying its performance.
