I used ChatGPT to plan my European vacation — for just $1K
Have you ever wished for a personalized travel agent, but felt that the cost was out of reach? Look no further than ChatGPT, an AI-powered chatbot that can help you plan an affordable European vacation.
One TikTok user, Madison Rolley, recently shared her experience using ChatGPT to plan a two-week Euro trip with a friend for only $1,000 per person. This included travel and lodging across four cities and three activities in each destination.
After inputting her travel preferences, ChatGPT created a detailed day-to-day itinerary in just minutes. It even mapped out the means of travel and the costs for everything, including attractions to visit.
While the AI-generated itinerary recommended Stockholm, Amsterdam, Paris, Barcelona, and Copenhagen, Rolley was able to customize it by swapping out Barcelona for Brussels. The GPT-prescribed activities for Amsterdam included the Anne Frank Museum and the Van Gogh Museum, as well as a legendary canal cruise. Meanwhile, for Paris, it recommended seeing the Louvre and Eiffel Tower.
The total cost for two people was $2,100, including $1,300 for 13 nights of accommodation, $300 for 12 attractions, and $500 for travel (not including a flight home).
While ChatGPT is limited and doesn't know your personal preferences, it can still provide solid inspiration for planning your next trip on a budget. Madison advises using ChatGPT as a blueprint and customizing it to your liking. Use it as a starting point to get an understanding of what the cost will look like from country to country and then do your research and build out your budget.
If you're looking to travel more without breaking the bank, consider using ChatGPT for your next vacation. With its AI-powered capabilities, it can help you plan a personalized and budget-friendly itinerary in no time.
