News about Samsung Android 15 One UI 7 & One UI 7.0 Update
Hey, Samsung fans! Android 15 will arrive on Samsung devices later this year, but we are already hearing a lot about the One UI 7.0 update. Google could release Stable Android 15 in August, and Samsung is likely to announce the One UI 7 Beta in the same month.
Samsung's Work on Android 15 One UI 7.0 Update
Samsung is internally working on the Android 15 One UI 7.0 update. The Galaxy S24 series will be the first to get it on both Beta and Stable channels. However, dozens of Galaxy devices are eligible for this major upgrade, forming a pretty big rollout later this year.
The new OS entered Developer Preview in February and Public Beta in April. Google so far released three major Public Beta updates for Pixel devices. The fourth Beta build could be released in the coming days, with Public rollout expected in August.
Android 15 focuses on improving device performance and power efficiency. It’s also well-optimized for the artificial intelligence era. Consumers can expect faster app loading, longer battery backup, enhanced security and privacy, and core improvements at the OS level.
Expected One UI 7 Beta Program
Samsung might kick off the One UI 7 Beta Program in August this year. For the Galaxy S23 series, the company released the first Beta in August 2023. We expect the same release timeframe for this year's Beta activity, while the first batch will be of the Galaxy S24 lineup.
Beyond flagships, the Korean tech giant may expand the Beta trial to select mid-range phones. Galaxy A55, Galaxy A35, and some Galaxy M series phones may also be eligible. Like every year, One UI 7 Beta should be available in at least 7 countries including the US.
Samsung's Developer Conference and Future Updates
Samsung is set to hold this year's Developer Conference on October 3. The event's stage will be utilized to introduce new One UI 7 features and enhancements. Besides, One UI 6 Watch and Tizen OS upgrades for TVs may also be unveiled by the Korean tech giant.
One UI Beta build can be installed on your primary handset, but we prefer avoiding it. If you don’t want to counter bugs and functional errors, Beta activity isn’t for you. Consider waiting till the Stable rollout commences as Samsung will also provide new features with One UI 6.1.1.
The official list will only come when the stable One UI 7 rollout will begin around October 2024.
Samsung One UI 7 Update: Which Galaxy Devices Will Get Android 15?
Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones are getting the July 2024 security update in Canada. This update includes the July 2024 security patch that helps protect user data and improve the overall performance of the device.
To install the update on your smartphone, you just need to navigate toward your Galaxy Settings. Once done, visit the Software update tab and hit the Download and Install button. Let your device connect to the OTA server and allow it to download the new firmware, if there’s any.
The Galaxy Note 20 series update is currently running on Android 13 and is not eligible for the next One UI and Android versions. If you are planning to upgrade your smartphone then there are several options like the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
Samsung One UI 7 Update: New AI Features for Galaxy Devices
Samsung One UI 7 update will come with new AI features for Galaxy devices. Post-Galaxy AI launch, Apple launched Apple Intelligence with iOS 18. Samsung has debuted new and improved AI features to counter Apple’s early entry into the segment.
One UI 7 should follow Apple's edge of system-wide writing tools. Galaxy’s next major Galaxy AI upgrade should introduce features like rewrite, proofread, and summarize that work across all apps. Upgraded writing assistance will surely help Galaxy users in their everyday tasks.
Notifications are the most important aspect of our smartphones. Whether it's a phone call, text message, or social media interaction, the notification function is the key to all. Due to multiple apps and services, users often face a condition where arrangement becomes a tough task.
Apple Intelligence managed to address the problem with the Priority Notifications feature. Artificial intelligence learns the usage patterns and importance plus priority of notifications. Based on deep analysis, the OS displays priority notifications on top followed by others.
One UI 6.1's Photo Editor added many useful tools for pro-editing in less time. Many third-party AI-powered photo editing apps are loaded with cool features. Samsung should adopt such tools to offer an effortless editing experience on Galaxy devices.
Circle to Search is a great feature that debuted with the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung and Google expanded it to their flagship devices. Besides, Google is working to fulfill its commitment to installing Circle to Search on 200 million devices worldwide.
This functionality should be further optimized with system functions. The addition of the translate button is worth praising and we need Circle to Search to evolve further. Apple's iPhones don't have any feature similar or equivalent to Circle to Search.
