- 18% of Indian AI users find information generated through AI platforms to be inaccurate
- 90% of Indian AI users primarily use AI platforms in text mode
- 3 in 10 Indian users of AI platforms have a paid/premium subscription

According to the survey, the majority of Indian AI users use AI platforms for finding information, followed by tasks like summarizing documents, writing, and creating or enhancing media content. A significant portion of users also utilize AI platforms for various other purposes.

DeepSeek's R1 model, known for its affordability and open-source approach, has attracted a significant user base in India. With a focus on developing cost-effective AI models, DeepSeek has emerged as a competitive alternative to established US companies.
Out of the respondents, a notable percentage expressed their interest in switching to DeepSeek or have already made the transition, citing the platform's cost-efficiency and advanced features.
