DALL-E 3: Free Image Creation for Everyone with ChatGPT

DALL-E 3 now free for all: ChatGPT allows free users to create up to two images per day

OpenAI has made an exciting announcement for those interested in AI image generation. They have decided to offer free users the opportunity to create two images per day using their advanced DALL-E 3 text-to-image model. This feature was previously only available to ChatGPT Plus users but has now been extended to ChatGPT Free users.

The latest version of DALL-E, which powers ChatGPT, comes with several enhancements. One notable improvement is its ability to suggest prompts for image creation, simplifying the process for users. While the rollout of this new feature has been confirmed, free user accounts may not yet display the option to access DALL-E 3, indicating that OpenAI might be introducing the feature gradually.

It is worth mentioning that Bing Chat also provides a similar feature with its own version of DALL-E, a precursor to DALL-E 3. This tool allows users to generate images based on natural language prompts. Unlike OpenAI's offering, there are currently no restrictions on image creation in Bing Chat. However, users may experience longer wait times for image generation after surpassing 25 images.

Developed by OpenAI using deep learning techniques, DALL-E, DALL-E 2, and the latest iteration DALL-E 3 are text-to-image models that have seen significant advancements since the introduction of the first version in January 2021. These models are capable of producing images in various styles, with DALL-E 3 excelling in interpreting complex prompts and generating highly accurate images.
