ChatGPT introduces new features to address privacy concerns

ChatGPT now allows users to turn off chat history but there's a catch ...

OpenAI has recently announced that ChatGPT users can now turn off chat history to address privacy concerns. This new feature will give users more control over their data and their chat history. When enabled, the chat history will not be used to train and improve OpenAI's AI models.

However, there is a downside to turning off the chat history. Users won't be able to see previous chats in the sidebar, making it impossible to revisit past conversations. So, it's important to consider this before turning off the chat history.

The new controls will be available in ChatGPT's settings starting from Apr. 25. Even when the chat history is disabled, ChatGPT will still retain new conversations for 30 days and use them for review only in the case of abuse monitoring. After 30 days, the conversations will be permanently deleted.

OpenAI has also introduced a new export option in settings that allows users to export their ChatGPT data. This will help users understand what information ChatGPT is storing.

For professionals who need more control to protect confidential company data, OpenAI is also working on a new ChatGPT Business subscription. This subscription will help enterprises to manage end-users effectively.

With these new changes, OpenAI is taking one step forward to address privacy concerns and provide more control to ChatGPT users over their data.
