ChatGPT History: Should Employers Have Access?

Employers Want My ChatGPT History? Q. Supposedly some...

Supposedly some employers are asking candidates to give the employer access to the candidate's ChatGPT history in the interview. What do you think?

If it's true, that's horrifying, and if anyone asks you to give them access to your ChatGPT conversations you will politely tell them to get lost and then you'll leave the interview.

Your ChatGPT conversations are yours and no one else's.

Illegal questions at the job interview - Invasion of privacy

Anyone who asks you to share AI chats does not deserve you.

Imagine what it would be like to work in a place like that? What other invasions of your privacy would they dream up next?

What about requiring you to share your credit card statement, so they can see how you spend your money? What about your dating history? No, no, no.

YOU decide who to work for. If you're out of money, take a survival job and keep the job search going. We are all entrepreneurs now. YOU run your career - not your employer. Run away from people who don't respect you, your privacy or your life outside of work.

Biopharma Expert | Insights & Analytics | AI & Data Science | Forecasting | Business Development | Commercial Strategy: Would be illegal in EU/Switzerland due to EU GDPR and Swiss DSG law. USA urgently needs a federal data protection law.

Computer Science Graduate | Computer Teacher | Assistant Manager | Executive Assistant | SEO & Digital Marketing Enthusiast: I agree 100% Confidence isn't about adding more credentials—it's about closing the gap between achievement and self-belief. I help executive women reclaim their power.

Personal Experiences Shared:

Senior Project Manager, experience in Electrical Transmission, IT and Telecommunications: If they treat you like that in the interview imagine being an employee.

Friendly, high-energy, problem-solving IH & Safety Pro: I'm pretty sure credit is checked as part of a background check--especially for a government clearance. Never give your password to anyone else.
