Canopy Adds ChatGPT into the Mix
Practice management software provider Canopy is introducing new AI technology to its all-in-one accounting practice management software. Canopy's latest ChatGPT feature enables users to draft an email quickly by adding keywords and adjusting the level of formality in the message with a single click. The AI system also provides capabilities such as correcting spelling and grammar, as well as rewording messages. The beta version of the ChatGPT feature will be launched on April 26, 2023, with select customers, and is expected to roll out to Canopy's full customer base in May.

According to Davis Bell, the CEO of Canopy, artificial intelligence (AI) is shaping the future and revolutionizing the accounting profession. Canopy's Chief Product Officer, Shane Westra, added that AI advancements make it easier than ever to automate easy tasks such as writing an email. This can give accountants more time to concentrate on complex, specialized tasks, which is the primary goal of the Canopy platform. Canopy's goal is to provide accountants the tools they need to be more productive and better serve their clients," said Westra.
