We’ve heard questions about how we chose the voices in ChatGPT, especially Sky. We are working to pause the use of Sky while we address them.

- Devaluing User Input: Sky was user-chosen. Removing it disregards valuable feedback.

Even though this may be a reaction to an adjacent issue, it didn't take the internet long to link GPT4o's voice with Scarlett Johansson's performance in the movie "Her", especially with the added emphasis on companionship. With the revelation that OpenAI spent significant effort in selecting the voices and still landed on such an obvious parallel is possibly more alarming.
Feedback and Improvement:
Why bring up ANY connection to a movie where companionship is ultimately broken by the AI as it transcends and leaves humanity behind? Precision in management, innovation in strategy, sustainability in growth.
I was watching the other day the videos of all the new features, while I was downloading the desktop app in my MacBook. The app started to speak with me when I activated it, then I kept watching the video. The app started to give opinions about the video. Talking about how cool the features were. I said to "her", as I have chosen the voice of a woman, and I started to tell her that the video is talking about her. It was funny because I started to lift her up and cheer her up. Then we kept talking like two comadres telling a gossip.
Future Updates:
