Can AI Chatbots Replace Humans? Narayana Murthy Says No!
AI-powered chatbots like ChatGPT have taken the world by storm with their ability to perform various tasks like essay writing, coding, and holding conversations. However, there have been concerns about chatbots replacing human jobs due to their advanced capabilities. But according to NR Narayana Murthy, co-founder of Infosys, nothing can beat the power of the human mind.
In an interview with CNBC, Murthy stated that while ChatGPT is an excellent addition to knowledge generation for performing certain tasks like writing an essay, it cannot replace humans. According to him, the human mind is what differentiates one person from another, and nothing can beat its imagination and creativity.
Murthy also gave an example of a competition between him and a journalist. He said he would use ChatGPT as his base and add his own differentiation and skill sets to produce better quality work. He believes that lazy people will get a 'C' grade, while smart people will get an 'A' grade. He thinks that ChatGPT can be an instrument and an assistant in achieving better quality of work and output, but not a replacement for humans.
Infosys is a software giant and the world's third most valuable IT services brand with a brand value of $13 billion. It became the first Indian company to be listed on the Nasdaq in 1999 and later listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 2012.
In conclusion, while AI chatbots like ChatGPT are a great innovation, they cannot replace humans. Narayana Murthy believes that humans are irreplaceable due to their unique capabilities and creativity.
