Open AI's GPT-4o can 'teach maths' & even 'flirt': The Standard podcast

As part of the evolving AI landscape, the AI assistant Claude, developed by Amazon-backed start-up Anthropic, has made its entrance into the European Union. Claude is designed to perform various tasks on behalf of users, such as writing essays or summarising information. It is considered one of OpenAI's major rivals in the generative AI space.
Weight Loss Study
A recent study led by Professor John Deanfield from University College London suggests that weight loss jabs could potentially reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke in obese individuals. The study, conducted by semaglutide manufacturer Novo Nordisk and involving over 17,000 adults from 41 countries, analysed the impact of these jabs on health outcomes.
Scientific Discoveries
Scientists have been making fascinating discoveries, from predictions about The Northern Lights in the UK due to the approaching 'solar maximum' to research indicating that hunting may have played a role in the evolution of humans as long-distance runners. Additionally, astronomers have identified a planet, WASP-193b, with unusually low density despite its large size.
