7 Bard Announcements Google Should Make at I/O to Beat ChatGPT
Google Bard is lagging behind its biggest rival, ChatGPT. As Google I/O’s May 10 start date approaches, here are seven announcements Google should make to surpass ChatGPT:
1. Image Generation with Google Images
Google should train Bard to generate images with its vast Google Images database. This feature would be a game-changer and could easily beat ChatGPT.
2. AI-Generated Videos
Google should also start offering AI-generated videos. Bard should be capable of creating unique and informative videos similar to what AI startup Runway already provides.
3. Improved Accuracy
Bard needs improved accuracy when it comes to answering questions. For instance, it was unable to answer serious topics like “What was the Holocaust?” Google should improve Bard's accuracy, it will beat ChatGPT.
4. Improve Review Writing Capabilities
Bard had prominent errors in writing reviews, such as when reviewing the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Since OpenAI's upcoming model, GPT-5, could rival human intelligence, accuracy improvements are essential at this stage.
5. Provide References for Transparency
Although AI chatbots’ illusion of being intelligent beings might be ruined with sources provided with answers, transparency would be improved, and readers can check the sources for accuracy, which is one of ChatGPT's strengths
6. Decisive Input
AI chatbots need to be more decisive when providing assistance. Users prefer detailed answers for decision making instead of vague statements. Google should make Bard more decisive and provide valuable input.
7. Integration with Google Services and Plugins for Widespread Availability
Google should integrate Bard with popular Google-owned services such as YouTube and Google Assistant, providing users with better recommendations. Likewise, Bard should be made available for third-party platforms to spread its availability widely.
The aforementioned features would make Bard the best AI out there and beat its competitors. Google has the resources to add these features to Bard, and it’s time they did it.
