Modifying text response using ChatGPT in Qualtrics | XM Community

Introduction

I am looking to do the following in Qualtrics:

1. Respondent reads a business scenario and a question related to the scenario.
2. Respondent keys in the answer to the question in a text box.
3. At the backend, the user-entered text is fed to ChatGPT. Based on a fixed prompt (e.g. improve the grammar and structure of the response), ChatGPT modifies the response.
4. The ChatGPT-modified response is displayed to the respondent on the screen. They get an option to use the modified response as such, or edit the response and submit.

Coding Requirement

Is coding mandatory to accomplish the above? I am familiar with basic survey design in Qualtrics, but not coding. In the data, I need to preserve the original response, the ChatGPT-modified response, and the final response entered by the respondent. You’ll need to use the ChatGPT API to achieve this. So, yes, coding is necessary for this.
